Jessica & William’s Hyde House Wedding | Cotswolds Documentary Photography
A May Wedding at Hyde House
May weddings in the Cotswolds have a special charm, and Jessica & William’s day at Hyde House was no exception. Although the morning started with rain, by the time the speeches were over, the clouds cleared and guests could enjoy the gardens and outdoor games in the fresh spring air.
As a documentary wedding photographer, I loved capturing these real, heartfelt moments throughout the day, the laughter, the anticipation and the tiny details that make weddings unforgettable.
Morning Prep at The No.4 Hotel, Stow
My day began meeting William and his best man at the lovely No.4 Hotel in Stow. It was a relaxed start, filled with laughter and a little pre-wedding excitement. From there, we made our way just 10 minutes down the road to Hyde House, a venue I was photographing for the first time and instantly fell in love with.
The Ceremony & Venue Details
Hyde House is stunning. It’s a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern elegance. Despite the rain in the morning, the ceremony was full of warmth, joy and genuine emotion.
I captured every moment in a documentary, storytelling style, focusing on real interactions between the couple and their guests rather than posed shots. From happy tears to laughter, each moment tells part of their wedding story.
Candid Moments & Outdoor Fun
After the speeches, the sun finally made an appearance and guests were able to enjoy the gardens and outdoor games. These are some of my favourite moments to capture, the laughter, playful interactions and natural expressions that really show the personality of a wedding day.
Bridal Party & Group Shots
While most of the day was candid, I did take a few fun shots with the bridesmaids and captured the full group shot from an upstairs balcony, a perspective that included everyone in a relaxed and natural way. These images complement the documentary style beautifully while still giving couples the classic keepsakes they cherish.
A Day of Storytelling Photography
Jessica & William’s Hyde House wedding was a joy to photograph — heartfelt, natural, and full of the little moments that make weddings memorable.
If you’re planning your own Cotswolds wedding and love storytelling, documentary photography, capturing real emotions and natural moments, I’d love to chat about your day.
