It was lovely to return to the Pavilion at Branston Golf & Country Club after its beautiful refurbishment. The space feels fresh, modern and full of light, a wonderful backdrop for a relaxed celebration and just a short drive from me near Burton-on-Trent.
James and Ryan’s wedding was a true reflection of everything I love about documentary wedding photography, effortless, emotional and full of life. From the very beginning of the day, there was an easy warmth that carried through every moment.
Despite the rain, the atmosphere never dipped. Instead, it added to the intimacy of the day, guests gathered closer, laughter felt louder and everything unfolded with a natural sense of togetherness.
The morning began in style as the bridal party arrived at the venue in a limousine, champagne chilled and spirits high setting the tone for a celebration that was as fun as it was heartfelt.
Working alongside my friend Holly Jo Photography made the day even more enjoyable. Together, we documented the story as it naturally unfolded focusing on connection, atmosphere and those fleeting in-between moments that often mean the most.
From quiet emotional exchanges during the ceremony to a packed dance floor later in the evening, the day was full of energy, personality, and genuine joy.
It was one of those weddings where everything just felt right not because it followed tradition, but because it reflected the people at the centre of it. A celebration of love, laughter, and being completely yourselves.
