An Intimate Micro Wedding at Amalfi White | A Relaxed Celebration with a Black Labrador

There is something effortlessly special about photographing intimate weddings, and this beautiful celebration at Amalfi White was exactly that.

I absolutely love working at this venue, the ballroom is one of the most stunning ceremony spaces in Derbyshire, with its elegant windows and timeless feel, it creates the perfect backdrop for a relaxed and meaningful wedding day.

This wedding was covered as part of my two-hour micro wedding package, designed for couples who want natural, documentary-style coverage without the formality of a full-day timeline. It was all about keeping things simple, relaxed and focused on what truly mattered.

The atmosphere throughout the day was incredibly calm and easy-going.

One of the highlights was definitely the couple’s handsome black Labrador, who was very much part of the celebrations and added so much personality to the day.

After the ceremony, we headed out to Melbourne Pool for a few relaxed couple portraits. A storm was rolling in at the time, which gave the most beautiful dramatic light and a really atmospheric feel to the images.

Due to the weather, family photographs were taken indoors, which actually suited the relaxed pace of the day perfectly. Nothing felt rushed everything just flowed naturally.

The bride looked absolutely stunning and what made the day even more special was that she had created all of her own florals. That personal touch tied everything together beautifully and added so much meaning to the styling of the day.

It was one of those weddings that reminds me why I love intimate celebrations so much — genuine moments, relaxed energy, and a focus on connection rather than structure.
