A summer wedding at Normanton Church is always something special and Ellie & Daryl’s day was no exception.
After a couple of reschedules, their wedding finally went ahead on a beautiful, warm day, and it honestly couldn’t have been more worth the wait.
A Relaxed Start to the Day
The morning began with bridal preparations at home in Peterborough, a really calm, fun start to the day with plenty of laughter (and a lot of attention stolen by Lili the dachshund 🐾).
These quieter moments are always some of my favourites to photograph nothing forced, just everything unfolding naturally.
A Summer Ceremony at Normanton Church
Normanton Church is one of the most iconic wedding venues in the UK, sitting right on the edge of Rutland Water.
On this particular afternoon, the light was just incredible. The church reflected beautifully on the water, creating the perfect setting for a relaxed and intimate ceremony.
Ellie’s arrival in a vintage Fiat 500 added such a timeless feel to the day simple, elegant, and completely fitting for the setting.
Natural, Unposed Moments
After the ceremony, we kept things easy and unstructured. A few relaxed group photos, followed by time for Ellie & Daryl to just enjoy being together.
No awkward posing just natural moments, real connection, and space to take it all in.
That’s always how I approach weddings, especially ones like this.
A Laid-Back Garden Reception
The celebrations continued back at the family home, with a driveway reception that was anything but ordinary.
Live music, sunshine, and a brilliant atmosphere made it feel incredibly personal — the kind of wedding that’s completely about the people, not the production.
