Another Wonderful Donington Park Farmhouse Wedding
Next up, I’m thrilled to share the wedding of Kirsty and Chris – a couple who had their engagement shoot with their two adorable dogs! This was my second time photographing at Donington Park Farmhouse, and it truly is a venue that never disappoints. If you’re still hunting for the perfect place to say “I do,” check this one out after reading the blog.
From the moment the day began, it was non-stop fun. Kirsty, with her vibrant purple hair and fabulous tattoos, and Chris, the cheeky and charming groom, made every moment a joy to capture. Despite the rain, spirits were high, and when we got a 40-minute window of sunshine, we grabbed it for some gorgeous couple and group photos. It’s a testament to a wonderful couple when the weather can’t dampen the fun, you really can’t control it, but you can make the most of it!
As a documentary wedding photographer, my focus is on real moments: the laughter, hugs, candid conversations, and reactions to every detail – from the cake to the canapés. Morning prep with the bridal party was full of giggles, and my friend Julie covered the groom’s prep beautifully. Together, we captured every corner of the day without missing a beat.
The speeches were a highlight, hilarious, heartfelt and full of belly laughter. Once the rain stopped, we took a short break for family photos and a few couple portraits. The evening was filled with dancing, thanks to a Ceilidh Band provided by friends of the couple, and the energy was infectious.
Here’s a glimpse into Kirsty and Chris’s day through a slideshow, followed by additional images capturing the fun, laughter, and love that made this wedding so unforgettable.
Planning your wedding at Donington Park Farmhouse and want a documentary photographer who captures real moments without awkward posing? I’d love to tell your story.
Let’s have a relaxed chat about your day, what matters most to you, and how I can quietly document the atmosphere, laughter and honest moments from getting ready to the last dance. Tell me your date and a little about your plans, and I’ll let you know my availability and how I work.
