My first visit to Barton Hall Hotel and wow, what a stunning wedding venue! Nestled in the picturesque county of Northamptonshire, this charming hotel is perfect for weddings with up to 180 guests. The bright, airy Orangery ceremony space is simply beautiful and the surrounding gardens offer endless opportunities for romantic portraits even if you just want a quiet moment to stroll together and soak in your special day.
Barton Hall is a true gem. With only one wedding reception per day, you can relax knowing that every detail is handled with care, ensuring your day feels personal and unforgettable.
The Orangery – Ceremony Space
The Orangery at Barton Hall is absolutely perfect for the ceremony. Its natural light and airy design create a relaxed, elegant atmosphere that makes every photo shine.
This wedding was wonderful from start to finish. I had the pleasure of assisting my friend Ryan Jarvis Photography on the day, starting with the groom’s preparations and ending with a lively dance floor. And since it was Bonfire Night, the celebrations included sparklers and fireworks lighting up the night sky—a magical touch that perfectly complemented the autumn vibes.
Autumn weddings are a favourite of mine. The light is softer and more flattering than in summer, the rustic colours make for beautiful photos, and the temperature is just right—not too hot, not too cold. Of course, rain is always a possibility, but don’t let that hold you back. On this day, we were lucky—the weather stayed dry, and the sun shone all day, giving us the perfect light for photos.
Before I share the full gallery, I have to mention how gorgeous Charlotte’s dress was. The slim fit with ruffled detailing looked stunning, and she wore it with such confidence. And the groom and his party cleaned up nicely too! This was a beautiful, heartfelt wedding with a fabulous party, and I feel lucky to have captured every moment.
