Bridgerton/Austin-Inspired Wedding in Nottinghamshire | Romantic, Storytelling Photography

There are some weddings that stay with you and this is one of them.

This beautiful Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire wedding is a little trip down memory lane for me, captured while second shooting alongside Dave Nunn (who has since retired and I seconded his last ever wedding with him back in 2018). This wedding came just one week before I photographed my very first wedding, a time filled with equal parts excitement and nerves.

But what I remember most?

The dress.

Elegant, romantic, and effortlessly timeless, it had a true Bridgerton feel….. soft, graceful and full of character. If you love that classic, editorial look with a touch of history, you’ll understand why it completely captured my attention.

The morning began quietly at Hannah’s getting-ready location, before heading to the beautiful St Mary's Church in Greasley, Nottinghamshire. With its historic charm and peaceful setting, it created the perfect backdrop for a heartfelt and intimate ceremony.

Afterwards, guests gathered outside for confetti and celebration before making their way to Breadsall Priory Marriott Hotel & Country Club. The gardens there are always immaculate—ideal for relaxed portraits and those natural, in-between moments that tell the real story of a wedding day.

Although this was shorter coverage, finishing before the speeches, it was still filled with the kind of moments I love to capture—genuine laughter, quiet glances, and everything in between.

This wedding is a reminder that it’s not about how long you’re there, but how it feels. Thoughtful, romantic, and completely true to the couple.

And of course, a dress I’ll never forget.

If you're planning a wedding that’s relaxed, heartfelt, and full of meaning and you’d love your day captured in a natural, storytelling way, I’d love to hear from you.

Whether you're drawn to timeless elegance, countryside venues, or simply want photography that feels like you, you can find out more about working together, get in touch to start the conversation.
