Foxtail Barns Spring Wedding Photography - Consall, Staffordshire
There’s something about a wedding that begins quietly, away from the main venue, that always feels a little more personal.
My day started at a traditional hunting lodge just a few minutes from Foxtail Barns, where the groom, his groomsmen, and family were getting ready. It was one of those slower, meaningful starts — the kind that sets the tone for everything that follows. The rain made an early appearance too, gently tapping at the windows, but if anything, it added to that calm, anticipatory atmosphere.
By the time we arrived at Foxtail Barns in Consall, Staffordshire, everything felt ready.
Despite the earlier showers, the ceremony went ahead beautifully with confetti thoughtfully moved indoors, creating a moment that felt just as joyful and full of energy. It’s those little adaptations that often make a wedding feel even more memorable.
And then, as if perfectly timed, the weather shifted.
The rain gave way to sunshine, and we were able to step outside into the gardens of Consall Hall. If you’ve ever been there, you’ll know just how special that space is, peaceful, romantic and perfect for those quieter, more natural moments.
Working alongside my friend Deb from Stott Weddings, we focused on capturing the day as it unfolded nothing forced, nothing overly staged. Just real moments, genuine connection, and all the in-between details that often mean the most.
The couple were an absolute joy to photograph. Relaxed, completely themselves, and fully present in their day. And the dress… truly stunning. Effortlessly elegant and a perfect fit for the setting.
From the incredible food to the atmosphere throughout the day, everything came together so naturally. Even as a second photographer, this was a wedding that felt completely aligned with how I love to document a day, honest, thoughtful and rooted in storytelling.
A real gem of a wedding, and one I feel very lucky to have been part of.
