Hannah and Ross’ Intimate Wedding at The White Hart Inn at Moorwood Moor, Derbyshire

Hannah and Ross’ wedding at the White Hart Inn at Moorwood Moor was everything an intimate celebration should be—personal, full of laughter, and shared with the people who matter most. This was my second time photographing a wedding at this stunning Derbyshire venue, and while the weather had other ideas, it didn’t take away from the joy of the day.

Originally, we had plans to explore the beautiful grounds for portraits, but the rain set in and the muddy conditions weren’t quite the perfect match for a bridal gown! Still, we made the most of every moment, capturing a day filled with love, fun, and family.

Bridal Preparations at Home

My coverage began at Hannah and Ross’ home, where Hannah and her bridal party were getting ready. The atmosphere was full of excitement, and once Hannah was in her dress, I made my way to the White Hart to meet Ross and photograph guests arriving.

A Ceremony Filled with Love and Laughter

The ceremony itself was a true reflection of Hannah and Ross—warm, personal, and full of laughter. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, they exchanged heartfelt vows that brought both smiles and happy tears. The room was filled with a wonderful atmosphere, setting the tone for the rest of the day’s celebrations. As Hannah and Ross walked down the aisle as husband and wife, their just married drinks were waiting for them which I think Hannah was grateful for.

Outdoor Confetti & Family Portraits

Just before the rain began, we were able to enjoy outdoor confetti—a moment full of smiles and happy tears. We also managed to complete all the family portraits outside, making the most of the soft light before heading indoors for canapés and mingling. This was the perfect time for the bride and groom to greet their nearest and dearest, with more guests joining the celebration later in the day.

Heartfelt & Hilarious Speeches

One of my favourite moments of the day was Hannah’s speech—filled with both love and wit, it had the room smiling from ear to ear. Her dad’s speech, of course, celebrated his “not so little girl,” while the best man wasted no opportunity to put Ross in the spotlight, sharing stories from his youth and life before meeting Hannah on a blind date arranged by a friend.

Sweet Wedding Details

The couple’s choice of cakes reflected their fun and relaxed approach to the day—Mr & Mrs Caterpillar and a specially made-to-order Sainsbury’s sponge cake. Proof that you don’t always need a towering showpiece for a cake to be perfect.
