Nestled along the River Great Ouse, The Tithe Barn at The Kingfisher is a stunning 800-year-old wedding venue, blending historic charm with rustic elegance perfect for intimate, relaxed celebrations.
Visiting new places is something I’ll never tire of. I’ve always been drawn to a sense of adventure, so when my photographer friend Ryan Jarvis, owner of Ryan Jarvis Photography, asked me to second shoot a wedding in Bedford, I jumped at the chance.
This beautiful celebration took place at the stunning The Tithe Barn at The Kingfisher, a riverside venue full of rustic charm and character, perfect for a relaxed and intimate wedding.
My morning began capturing the latter part of the groom preparations, just as the anticipation of the day was building and guests were starting to arrive. These quieter moments are something I truly love, observing, documenting, and capturing everything as it naturally unfolds. Weddings have this incredible way of moving so quickly; one moment it’s the final touches of getting ready, and the next, it’s time to walk down the aisle.
As a second photographer, I often document the ceremony from the back, and I genuinely love that perspective. It allows me to quietly observe the atmosphere, the reactions, and all those in-between moments that might otherwise go unnoticed. While photographing from the front is always special, there’s something incredibly powerful about capturing the wider story from behind the scenes.
I won’t say too much about this wedding as I’d much rather you experience it through the images and feel the atmosphere of the day, the Tracey M Photography way.
What I will say is this: I had an absolute blast. From the relaxed, joyful energy throughout the day to the final sparkler send-off, it was such a pleasure to be part of. And yes… the sparklers are always a highlight, beautiful, chaotic and never quite as easy to coordinate as they look… but always worth it.
