Not a Wedding… Yet! Leah & Josh’s Engagement Session at Foremark Reservoir

Leah and Josh on a bridge at Foremark Reservoir during their relaxed engagement photoshoot in Derbyshire

What can I say about Leah and Josh - a truly beautiful couple with hearts of gold and I had such a lovely time with them at their engagement shoot.

Leah initially booked me for a one off engagement photoshoot and we arranged to meet at the gorgeous Foremark Reservoir near Swadlincote, Derbyshire. It’s a local beauty spot that caters well for fab walks and photography.

The vibe was low key and fun with a touch of the romance for this newly engaged couple. Josh and Leah love calmness so it was important to find the right location that would perfectly suit such a lovely couple. I myself am generally a quiet person - well most of the time in any case so didn’t want to go somewhere too far, not too much walking (for Josh) and it would be quiet so they wouldn’t feel embarrassed in any way. I knew that on a weekday, Foremark would be a lot quieter than at a weekend/evening and I know a lot of great spots perfect for just what they wanted. I really wanted to maximise the space without dragging them for miles on end - as this simply wouldn’t work for Josh.

Here’s a little selection of the engagement images…enjoy!

Thinking about an engagement shoot but feeling a little unsure in front of the camera?

These sessions are relaxed, informal and a great way for us to get to know each other, just like Leah & Josh did (and yes… they booked their wedding afterwards!).

If that sounds like your kind of thing, I’d love to hear from you — get in touch and let’s plan something lovely.
