Looking back through my archives, this stunning autumn wedding at Nunsmere Hall in Cheshire is one I had to share. I had the pleasure of second-shooting alongside the incredibly talented Caroline White Photography, capturing the day from groom prep through to the first dance ā a full story of love, laughter, and celebration.
Nunsmere Hall is a venue that truly needs little introduction. With its manicured gardens, charming walking trails, and a serene lake, itās the perfect backdrop for a wedding, no matter the season. Even in the crisp autumn air, the estate felt magical, with golden leaves creating a romantic setting that photographers dream of.
The day began with the groomās final preparations. I always love starting here ā thereās something special about those quiet, intimate moments before the ceremony, when excitement and nerves mingle. The thoughtful details, the laughter of close friends, and those small, personal touches set the tone for the entire day.
Guests soon arrived, filling the venue with warmth and joy. Watching friends and family greet one another, sharing hugs and smiles, reminded me why weddings are so special. And yes, the bar being open always adds a little extra sparkle!
The bride was nothing short of breathtaking. Her dress, hair, and makeup were perfectly elegant, and her smile lit up every frame. From the ceremony through to the reception, it was a day full of heartfelt moments and laughter, all beautifully framed by the autumnal surroundings.
The highlight for me, of course, was capturing the energy of the dance floor. Thereās nothing more joyful than documenting a party where everyone is lost in the moment ā dancing, laughing, and celebrating love. These are the images that couples treasure forever.
