Luxury Spring Wedding Photography at Alrewas Hayes
There are some weddings that effortlessly combine sophistication with warmth, and this beautiful late spring celebration at Alrewas Hayes was exactly that.
I had the pleasure of joining my talented friend Holly Jo Photography as second photographer, documenting the day from my own perspective and capturing many of the authentic moments that unfolded naturally. From relaxed morning preparations through to the first dance, it was a joy to witness a wedding that felt refined, welcoming, and completely true to the couple.
The day began with groom preparations in a private lodge near Burton Water Tower, where Adam and his groomsmen enjoyed a calm morning before changing into elegant black tie attire and heading to the venue. As a fellow Liverpool supporter, there was an immediate talking point that made photographing the preparations even more enjoyable.
Thoughtful Details Throughout the Day
One of the standout elements of this wedding was the incredible styling. The floral arrangements were simply stunning, with carefully curated tables featuring delicate peach tones and even walnuts incorporated into the décor, creating a look that felt both luxurious and organic.
The bride looked breathtaking in a timeless gown complete with an elegant train and flowing cathedral veil that moved beautifully throughout the day, adding drama and romance to portraits and candid moments alike.
Perhaps one of the sweetest surprises was the arrival of the couple's beloved spaniel, brought to the venue by a dedicated dog carer so they could be part of the celebrations. It was a lovely reminder that weddings are about family in all its forms.
A Relaxed Celebration at One of Staffordshire's Finest Wedding Venues
Although a couple of light showers passed through during the day, they never interrupted the celebrations. Guests embraced every moment, enjoying the beautiful surroundings of Alrewas Hayes while the atmosphere remained relaxed, joyful, and effortlessly elegant.
It's easy to see why this countryside venue is so highly regarded. From its stylish interiors to its picturesque grounds, it provides a wonderful backdrop for couples looking for a refined yet welcoming place to celebrate with family and friends.
As someone who loves photographing genuine interactions and natural storytelling, this was exactly the kind of wedding that reminds me why documentary photography is so rewarding.
