A Beautiful Wedding at The Ashes Barns, Endon, Staffordshire

I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Shannon and her fiancee’s wedding at the stunning Ashes Barns Wedding Venue in Endon, Staffordshire. This venue is one of my favourites, not only for its breathtaking countryside setting but also for the way the team truly look after their couples and suppliers.

On this day, I was lucky enough to work alongside my good friend Deb of Stott Weddings, who is based in Stoke. I always enjoy working with Deb – we share the same love for natural, storytelling wedding photography, and it makes the day flow so beautifully.

Relaxed Morning Preparations

My morning began by photographing Shannon’s bridal preparations. Despite the rain (which came down quite heavily at times), the atmosphere was wonderfully relaxed. There were plenty of smiles and laughter, with everyone simply enjoying the build-up to the big moment.

A Beautiful Ceremony at The Ashes Barns

We then headed over to The Ashes Barns for the ceremony. The rustic charm of the barn is always a joy to photograph, with its warm character and romantic setting. The ceremony itself was full of emotion, and I captured the confetti moment from the balcony – giving such a lovely perspective of the celebration.

Natural & Documentary Wedding Photography

Throughout the day, I focused on a documentary-style approach – capturing laughter, happy tears, friends chatting, and those little in-between moments that mean so much. Alongside this, we created some relaxed portraits of the happy couple, which perfectly reflect their personalities and love for one another.

Touching Speeches to End the Day

My coverage concluded after the speeches, which were both heartfelt and emotional – the perfect ending to a truly special day.

Why I Love The Ashes Barns Weddings

The Ashes Barns is always a joy to return to. Nestled in the Staffordshire countryside, it’s a dream venue for couples looking for a relaxed yet elegant barn wedding. The staff go above and beyond to care for their couples, and it makes every wedding feel personal and unique.

Such a beautiful celebration of two people’s love for one another sharing the day with their loved ones as photographed through my eyes as Deb’s second photographer for the day.

If you’re planning your own wedding at The Ashes Barns in Endon, Staffordshire – or anywhere else in the UK – I’d love to chat about capturing your day. My style is relaxed, documentary-led, and focused on telling the real story of your wedding.
