I’m so excited to finally be sharing more of my wedding work from 2022 as I build through the blog and this Aston Marina wedding in Staffordshire is the perfect place to start.

A relaxed, outdoor spring celebration, full of personality, laughter, and those natural in-between moments I love to capture.

A spring wedding at Aston Marina, Staffordshire

This gorgeous March wedding took place outdoors at Aston Marina. A little breezy at times, but the sunshine held strong throughout the day.

There’s something I really love about spring weddings, everything starts to wake up again. The light feels softer, the colours begin to return and the whole day feels fresh and full of possibility.

It was also my first time photographing a wedding at Aston Marina in Staffordshire and it’s such a beautiful spot for a relaxed celebration.

A relaxed documentary approach

For this wedding, I was second shooting alongside the lovely Samantha J Photography. Samantha was capturing bridal prep when I arrived, so we had a quick hello before getting into the flow of the day.

No groom prep for this one but the energy of the day was so easygoing and full of joy.

I’m always drawn to outdoor ceremonies, there’s something about being surrounded by open space, nature and fresh air that brings out the most natural moments.

Lawn games, laughter & real moments

One of my favourite parts of this wedding was the lawn games. They were such a brilliant way to bring everyone together family, friends and even the “not-so-little” kids!

There was so much laughter, competition and those candid moments that happen when people are just being themselves.
