Engagement Photoshoot at Colston Bassett – Georgie & Ryan
A Relaxed Pre-Wedding Session in Nottinghamshire
Today I’m sharing a beautiful engagement photoshoot with Georgie & Ryan—a little change from the usual wedding posts! I’ll be sharing a few more of these over the next month.
Engagement sessions are such a wonderful way to help couples feel relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera. The more you chat and enjoy yourselves, the sooner you forget the camera is there—and that’s when the natural, heartfelt moments happen. Unlike the wedding day, there’s no rush, so it’s just the two of you, and you can truly be yourselves.
Georgie & Ryan’s Story
Their wedding was originally planned for June 2020 but had to be postponed due to the pandemic. After finally confirming a new date in late summer 2021, we met for a joyful engagement session.
They chose the old church ruins in the charming village of Colston Bassett, Nottinghamshire—a location I hadn’t visited before but absolutely loved. The day was sunny and bright, and Georgie & Ryan were a joy to photograph. There were plenty of smiles, giggles, and a touch of romance throughout the session.
We chatted about their wedding plans, and it was lovely to finally meet them in person. Fun fact: Georgie used to work with my daughter before she started a new career. It’s always amazing when personal connections lead to new clients, and I felt honoured to capture their special moments.
