A Refined Spring Wedding at Foxtail Barns | Effortless, Joyful Moments

bride and groom just married at Foxtail Barns

There’s something quietly special about a spring wedding at Foxtail Barns. Soft light, fresh air, and that sense of everything just beginning it creates the most effortless atmosphere for a wedding day to unfold naturally.

This was my first time photographing at this beautiful Staffordshire venue, working alongside Deb of Stott Weddings and it couldn’t have been a more perfect introduction.

The morning began at The Tawny Hotel, where the groom and his friends were spending a relaxed few hours together. There was an ease to it all no rush, no pressure just quiet anticipation, a game of pool and time well spent before everything began.

Back at Foxtail Barns, the setting was effortlessly beautiful. The warm textures of the barn, paired with soft spring light, created a space that felt both refined and welcoming ideal for couples who want something stylish, yet completely unpretentious.

Katherine’s dress was a perfect reflection of the day. A slim, elegant silhouette softened by cascading layers of tulle, it moved beautifully and felt understated yet striking. The kind of dress that doesn’t need to demand attention, it simply holds it.

And then, a moment that brought an added sense of personality and warmth, the couple’s French Bulldog made a perfectly timed appearance for the photographs. These are often the moments that stay with people. Unplanned, genuine and completely personal.

What stood out most throughout the day was how naturally everything unfolded. Nothing felt forced or over-directed just real moments, real connection and a quiet confidence in letting the day be exactly what it was.

That’s always at the heart of how I approach a wedding. Whether I’m leading the day or working alongside another photographer, my focus remains the same to document it honestly, with care and without interruption. To notice the in-between moments as much as the big ones.

It was a privilege to be part of such a considered and joyful celebration, and to photograph alongside Deb of Stott Weddings on a day that felt both relaxed and beautifully refined.
