Mythe Barn Wedding Photography, Leicestershire – Lauren & Daniel

Bride and groom walking holding hands at Mythe Barn in Atherstone

There’s something undeniably special about Mythe Barn wedding photography in Leicestershire. With its blend of rustic charm and contemporary elegance, it’s a venue I always love returning to and Lauren and Daniel’s beautiful day was no exception.

I’ve been lucky enough to photograph several weddings at Mythe Barn, and it’s one of those venues that offers complete exclusivity while keeping that relaxed, countryside feel—perfect for couples planning a natural, heartfelt wedding without the need for a marquee.

About the Venue

Set in the Leicestershire countryside near Atherstone, Mythe Barn is an award-winning barn wedding venue known for its oak-beamed ceremony space, stunning gardens, and versatile courtyard area. Whether you’re planning an indoor ceremony or an outdoor celebration, it offers the perfect backdrop for relaxed, documentary-style wedding photography.

How the day Started

I started the morning with the groom preparations alongside Holly and the atmosphere couldn’t have been more relaxed. The morning had that easy-going feel, music playing, a few beers flowing and plenty of laughter as the final touches came together.

Once everyone was ready, I slipped into what I love most, documenting the natural moments. Guests arriving, warm hugs, quiet anticipation… those in-between moments that often become the most meaningful memories.

Lauren looked incredible in her fitted wedding dress paired with a cathedral-length veil, timeless and elegant. The ceremony itself is always one of my favourite parts of the day, filled with emotion, connection, and those fleeting glances that say everything.

Confetti

And then confetti! Easily one of the most joyful parts of any Mythe Barn wedding. It’s chaotic, colourful, and yes… it does get everywhere but that’s all part of the fun.

Afterwards, we moved seamlessly into a mix of relaxed group photos, candid moments, and canapés in the courtyard before everyone sat down for a beautifully prepared wedding breakfast.

Evening

The speeches brought both laughter and a few happy tears, setting the tone for the evening celebrations. As the sun dipped, the party began, starting with cake cutting and leading into a packed dance floor for the first dance and beyond.

If you’re planning your wedding at Mythe Barn in Leicestershire and love natural, storytelling photography that captures the real moments of your day, I’d love to hear more about your plans. Check out my portfolio here…
