Spring Wedding at Grangefields | Relaxed Derbyshire Wedding Photography

A Beautiful Spring Wedding at Grangefields, Derbyshire

Grangefields has long been a wedding venue I’ve hoped to photograph at, so being part of this beautiful spring wedding at Grangefields in Derbyshire was incredibly special.

I joined the wonderful Holly as her second photographer for the day, documenting the natural moments and atmosphere as the celebration unfolded.

My day began at a nearby local pub, The Cow at Dalbury Lees where the groomsmen were relaxing together before getting ready for the ceremony. It was a great start to the day full of laughter, anticipation and that quiet excitement that builds before a wedding.

Once everyone was ready, I made the short drive down to Grangefields, a stunning Derbyshire wedding venue set within the countryside with incredible views across the surrounding landscape.

Before the ceremony began, I spent time photographing the venue and documenting guests arriving. The setting at Grangefields really is something special, elegant, modern and perfectly placed within the Derbyshire countryside.

Throughout the day I focused on capturing the natural moments happening all around, the conversations, reactions and the little interactions that tell the story of a wedding day.

While Holly photographed the more formal parts of the day, I documented everything else quietly unfolding in the background.

After the ceremony and portraits, guests made their way inside for the wedding breakfast and what an entrance it was. The entire bridal party arrived dancing, with guests waving napkins in the air and cheering them in. The atmosphere was incredible and the room was filled with energy and laughter.

The speeches that followed were heartfelt and emotional, with plenty of happy tears shared around the room.

Later in the evening, as the sun began to dip towards the horizon, we stepped outside for a few quiet moments. The clouds had rolled in so we didn’t quite get a dramatic sunset, but the light was still soft and beautiful a perfect end to a wonderful spring day. I was then photographing the fun of the Beer Pong game which was incredibly hilarious.

Soon it was time for the evening celebrations to begin with the cake cutting, first dance, and the touching father-daughter and mother-son dances before the dance floor filled with guests ready to celebrate.

It truly was a fantastic day to be part of and such a pleasure to work alongside Holly to capture it.

And I have to say, the bride looked absolutely incredible. Her wedding dress suited her perfectly and she looked amazing throughout the entire day.

Grangefields is such a beautiful venue and I would absolutely love to photograph another wedding here in the future.
